Arrival in Frankfurt

You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your centrally located hotel near the medieval Römer (City Hall).

Take some time to settle in before gathering in the early evening for a welcome dinner at Das Gemahlte Haus, the most iconic of Frankfurt’s traditional apple-wine taverns.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2026

Frankfurt

After breakfast, begin your morning with a short walking tour through Frankfurt’s charming Old City.

Spend the remainder of the day at leisure exploring the city’s festive Christmas markets.

Enjoy a market-style lunch and dinner on your own before attending an evening opera performance.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2026

Frankfurt → Heidelberg → Rothenburg

Following breakfast, depart by coach for Heidelberg.

Enjoy a guided visit to the city’s famed medieval castle and free time to browse the delightful Christmas market.

Continue to Rothenburg ob der Tauber in the late afternoon. After checking in, gather for an early group dinner, then experience the magical glow of evening as you stroll through this beautifully preserved medieval town, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2026

Rothenburg → Nuremberg

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning in Rothenburg before traveling on to Nuremberg.

The afternoon is yours to explore the historic Old Town and its world-renowned Christkindlmarkt. Be sure to sample a mug of Glühwein and try the city’s signature honey-sweetened Lebkuchen.

Rejoin the group for a late dinner at the celebrated Trödelstube, noted for its antique décor and authentic German cuisine.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2026

Nuremberg

This morning features a guided tour of the Imperial Castle (Kaiserburg), dramatically perched above the city. Once one of the most important fortified palaces of the Holy Roman Empire, the castle played host to numerous imperial assemblies.

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the medieval city center, filled with charming shops and cafés.

In the evening, attend a performance at the Nuremberg State Theater.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2026

Nuremberg → Bamberg → Meiningen

After breakfast, travel to Bamberg, known as the “Little Venice” of Germany. With its medieval lanes and more than 2,400 timber-frame buildings, Bamberg’s Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.

Savor a typical Franconian lunch before continuing on to Meiningen.

Meiningen

Established in the 6th century at the crossroads of two major trade routes, Meiningen is considered the cultural heart of Thuringia. The town features elegant classical buildings, handsome half-timbered houses, and numerous historical treasures.

Enjoy an organized city tour or explore independently before gathering for an early dinner, followed by an evening performance at the exquisite Meiningen Court Theater.

Meiningen → Fulda → Frankfurt

Begin the return journey to Frankfurt with a stop in historic Fulda. Enjoy a traditional Kaffeestunde before a stroll through the scenic park beside the Baroque palace – and of course, another Christmas market, highlighted by its towering Christmas Pyramid.

Continue to Frankfurt for a final night at the luxurious Schlosspark Hotel Kronberg and an intimate farewell dinner.
